Retired NRL star David Mead visited our sister school,
RMCN School of Excellence. 8th August, 2025
RMCN School of Excellence had a special visit on Friday 8th of August, 2025.
Former NRL player and PNG Kumuls captain David Mead spoke to students about how sportsmanship, respect, and discipline can shape them into better people in life. He shared how, throughout his rugby career, showing good sportsmanship—such as playing fair, staying humble in victory, and gracious in defeat—helped him grow as both an athlete and a person. Mead emphasized that being respectful to teachers, parents, teammates, and classmates builds trust and strong character. He also spoke about the importance of discipline, such as making the right choices, working hard, and staying focused. Mead said students can grow into responsible, respectful, and successful individuals both on and off the field.
Special thanks to the NRL in PNG team - League Bilong Laif (LBL) program.
